Position Details: Professional Engineer - Municipal and Land Development Projects (NJ PE Required)

Description:

We are seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New Jersey to support a range of municipal and land development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical capabilities and experience with water and sewer systems, and be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical analysis, design, calculations, reports, and cost estimates for various civil engineering projects.

• Typical project types include:

  • Stormwater and utility design

  • Roadway and grading design

  • Water and wastewater treatment facilities

  • Potable water storage tanks

  • Water distribution and sanitary sewer systems

  • Pumping stations and sewer rehabilitation

• Coordinate and review the work of CAD operators.

• Review engineering plans and reports for Planning and Zoning Board applications.

• Ensure all designs comply with regulatory permitting requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• NJ PE license is mandatory.

• Solid experience with water and sewer systems.

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D; knowledge of WaterCAD, HydroCAD, and HEC-RAS is a plus.

• Strong skills in design, permitting, and regulatory compliance.

• Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently and in a collaborative team environment.
