About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, particularly in HVAC and Controls, as well as proficiency in design tools and effective problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of MEP systems, focusing on building-related mechanical systems such as HVAC and Controls.
- Utilize experience in commercial building design to contribute to various projects.
- Independently address and resolve diverse mechanical engineering challenges.
- Actively participate in design reviews, contributing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Prepare and analyze reports, maps, studies, drawings, and photos to support project objectives.
- Conduct site visits to document and verify project conditions.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, agencies, and contractors to ensure project alignment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering/design experience.
- License: PE License is highly desired.
- Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
- Proficient in design layout and specification writing.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, and BlueBeam.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, clients, architects, and subconsultants.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in HVAC systems and Controls.
- Experience with design tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and BlueBeam.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and project execution.
