Description:
Overview: We are seeking a Specialty Superintendent on behalf of our client to join their construction team. The Superintendent will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and report directly to the General Superintendent.
Position Summary: The Specialty Superintendent will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to specification. Additionally, this role involves mentoring assistant superintendents and providing guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of assigned projects.
- Ensure the safety and compliance of the job site, adhering to regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to create and maintain project schedules.
- Communicate effectively with team members, inspectors, subcontractors, clients, architects, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any construction issues.
- Manage procurement and allocation of equipment and materials essential for project success.
- Supervise field workers and subcontractors to ensure work quality and adherence to timelines.
- Perform project close-out tasks and handle general administrative duties related to the job site.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal laws, OSHA requirements, building codes, and anti-discrimination/harassment policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry and various phases of construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage fast-paced projects and make critical decisions quickly.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction industry.
